Qualifications and Competencies
Hard Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce or a related field from a reputable institution.
- A Certified Public Accountant (ICPAK) or ACCA member in good standing.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with US GAAP is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a busy finance environment, with a strong focus on asset management and compliance
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and working with Asset management systems
- Experience with Oracle is an added advantage
- Leadership and project management skills will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end accounting for all assets (fixed, intangible, IFRS 16) in compliance with IFRS.
- Conduct fixed assets verification and asset tagging to ensure real time update of asset register in collaboration with the operations team
- Track and reconcile accruals, prepayments and ensuring accurate timing of recognition and alignment with accounting policies
- Manage the Asset management function, including Asset register, schedules, reports and reconciliations.
- Prepare audit-ready schedule and samples for: assets, accruals, prepayments and Tax. Support budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT and WHT filings, monthly reconciliations and internal ledger updates.
- Coordinate asset risk management by timely renewal of assets insurance
- Conduct treasury and compliance tasks for the holding entity
- Record and defer commissions in line with contract terms and expected revenue.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
