An officer at this level may be deployed in any of the following Units/Sections: Human Resource Management, General Registry, Supply Chain Management, Accounts, and General Administrative Services or in any other area where their services are required. An officer at this level will work under the supervision of a Senior Officer.

Duties and responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

Receiving, filing and dispatching correspondence;
Preparing initial documents for issuance of stores;
Collecting and analysing statistical records;
Carrying out transactions related to the functional area;
Preparing initial documents for issuance of stores;
Photocopying and scanning documents;
Maintaining an efficient filing system and safekeeping of invoices;
Controlling movements of records and file movements;
Drafting correspondences;
Ensuring safe custody of equipment, documents and records
Indexing of documents and records and checking general office cleaning; and
Keeping safe custody of equipment, documents and records

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

Be a Kenyan Citizen;
A minimum work experience of one (1) year in a busy office;
Certificate in Human Resource Management, Records Management, Business Administration or its equivalent from a recognised institution; and
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade C- (minus) or equivalent qualification.

Those with foreign Degrees should have them authenticated by the Commission for University Education (CUE). In addition, during the interview, they will be required to submit their academic certificates authenticated by the issuing Institutions to the Board.
