This role calls for dynamic collaboration with site teams, contractors, and project managers to guarantee alignment with the company's objectives and standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in project controls, preferably in residential, mixed-use, or infrastructure developments.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and workflows for residential projects (structural works, finishes, MEP, and handover phases).
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI is an added advantage.
  • Experience in cost control, budgeting, and earned value management.
  • Familiarity with Kenyan construction codes, approval processes, and local authority regulations.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and within multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project, including sequencing of construction activities for residential and infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor daily and weekly site progress, verify subcontractor performance, and identify schedule variances against the baseline plan.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections specific to ongoing developments.
  • Review and validate subcontractor claims, interim payment applications, and variations for accuracy and compliance.
  • Track materials, manpower, and equipment utilization to ensure alignment with project timelines and resources.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for management and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update project risk registers, highlighting potential schedule or cost risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Support contract administration by assessing time and cost impacts of design or scope changes.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, project governance standards, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, quantity surveyors, procurement, and project managers to maintain accurate reporting and communication across teams.
