The Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) is the private sector apex and umbrella body set up in 2003 to bring together the business community in a single voice to engage and influence public policy for an enabling business environment. It is a limited liability membership organization, with a membership of over 500,000 direct and indirect members organized through Business Membership Organizations and Corporate members. KEPSA is a key player in championing the interests of the Kenyan business community in trade, investment, and industrial relations. Its vision is to be a world-class private sector apex body. The primary mission is to ensure year-on-year improvement in the overall business environment for Kenya by working together with the Government and other stakeholders. KEPSA coordinates structured policy dialogues through its institutionalized public-private dialogues (PPD’s) of the 16 sectors boards that reflect the economy's various sectors.

About Sustainable Inclusive Business SIB-K
The Sustainable Inclusive Business Kenya (SIB-K), a knowledge centre under the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), was started to respond to the private sector's need to increase its positive impact on people and the planet.
Sustainable Inclusive Business Kenya is a knowledge & Network Centre established in 2015 under the KEPSA Foundation through a fruitful partnership between KEPSA Foundation and MVO Nederland with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kenya.
Sustainable Inclusive Business is driving and catalyzing change through inspiration, knowledge sharing, initiative, facilitation, partnerships and connection. We bring companies and their stakeholders together to share knowledge and good practices and set goals to create a sustainable and inclusive economy and futureproof businesses with positive impact on People and Planet.

About the Kenya Plastics Pact (KPP)
The Kenya Plastics Pact (KPP) is a neutral platform of industry-led innovation to rethink how we design, use and reuse plastics, and implement locally tailored solutions towards a circular economy for plastics in Kenya. The KPP brings together key stakeholders in the plastics value chain - businesses, governments, and NGOs - behind a common vision of addressing today's plastic waste and pollution issues. The overarching objective of the KPP will be to support government and industry to deliver a circular economy for plastics, ensuring the implementation of solutions relevant to the Kenyan context. The following goals are identified for The Kenya Plastics Pact to achieve the stated vision and overarching objective:

KEPSA seeks to engage the knowledge and expertise of a communications leads who will support in the following areas:
COMMUNICATION LEAD is a crucial binding factor within the organization. Not only does the marketing/communication manager ensures to inform stakeholders and businesses about program development, she/he is key in inspiring, encouraging businesses to get interested, partner and drive change together.
Responsibility and description of job aspects:
Develop marketing/communication strategy
Develop the marketing/communication planning & structure in line with the SIB-K Strategy
Ensure communication structure and plan for each project, and in general on SIB-K work
(on website, in folder, on SM to enhance the impact of our work)
Engagement tactic for existing projects, and our partners in general
Be a strategic communication thinker who connects messages and is able to contribute to
conceptualization and project proposal development
Create, distribute and communication on various means (internal and external)
Development and execution of marketing campaigns and branding – that support the execution of the activities
Stay tuned and communicate with the members & the supporters of KPP (relationship management)
Report to the program Manager and program Director every quarter with status and strategy insights
Linking news, knowledge, research, partner profiles, business developments, innovations to platforms, partners, stakeholders, calendars, etc.
Growing the website into a knowledge and network sharing platform with external input and drivers
Qualifications and Competencies:

Skills & Criteria:
At least 5 years work experience in Communication/Marketing or if shorter outstanding performance on initiating and driving a campaign e.g.
Proven record of impactful communication (result oriented)
Portfolio of articles, blogs, tweets etc. that are contributing to topical conversations
Perfectionist
Strong communicator
Fluent in English (native preferably) and Swahili
Organized, independent and inspiring worker
Understanding of the power of network and knowledge
Mind-set of growing the organization
Able to see and pro-actively use communication to create, seal opportunities
Strategic thinker who can choose means for the right purpose
Passion for sustainability and inclusion
