Job Requirements for Appointment

  1. Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory and a holder of Higher National Diploma /Diploma in Histology and Cytology from a recognized institution;
  2. Must have seven (7) years’ work experience in histology and cytology laboratory
  3. Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)
  4. A valid practicing license.
  5. Knowledge of Information Communication Technology;


Responsibilities

  2. Must have seven (7) years’ work experience in histology and cytology laboratory
  3. Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)
  4. A valid practicing license.
  5. Knowledge of Information Communication Technology;


  1. Assist Human Anatomy lecturers in cadaver dissections and conducting Human Anatomy practicals.
  2. Set up OSCE sessions for Human Anatomy assessments
  3. Prepare laboratory materials and specimens such as histology slides, stains, solutions and preservatives.
  4. Ensure proper disposal of Human Anatomy laboratory waste.
  5. Provide budget inputs on supplies and consumables used in the laboratory.
  6. Maintain proper inventory of the materials and equipment in the Human Anatomy laboratory to avoid stock outages.
  7. Carry out stock taking exercises at the end of every quarter of the Financial Year in liaison with stores section of procurement and Finance Departments for purposes of quarterly account report preparation.
  8. Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the supervisor.
