QUALIFICATIONS: ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL

  • Registered and licensed with the Nursing Council of Kenya
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognised University KRCHN preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature.


Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the physician.
  • Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment plan, and self-care instructions..
  • Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
