Description

Please Note:

This recruitment is being managed by AMSCO on behalf of a client.

About the Client

Our client is a Nairobi-based specialty coffee roaster built on a simple but powerful idea: roast at origin, retain more value in producing countries, and build a fairer, more transparent coffee industry.

In 2025, our Client became part of a global coffee company operating across Southeast Asia,

Europe, and East Africa. Together, they’re challenging traditional coffee supply chains by investing in people, nature, and origin communities while delivering exceptional coffee to customers around the world.

Joining the Organisation means joining an ambitious international commercial organisation with global reach, shared market intelligence, and customers across three continents — while remaining firmly rooted at the source of some of the world's finest coffee.

Position Summary

We're looking for a commercially driven sales hunter to build and convert a global pipeline of specialty coffee brands, retailers, and buyers. This is a high-impact role at the centre of the Organisation’s growth strategy and embedded within the Group’s global commercial team. You'll be responsible for generating new business, managing opportunities through the full sales cycle, and building long-term customer relationships across international markets. While you'll benefit from the support, network, and infrastructure of a global organisation, success will come from your ability to create opportunities, open doors, and consistently turn conversations into revenue.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related fields

2. 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a consistent, measurable track record of growth

3. Proven ability to sell solutions, not just products — especially when the underlying product is a commodity

4. Strong storytelling and communication skills — written and verbal, in English (additional languages a plus)

5. Confidence managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles across different cultures and time zones

6. A creative, resourceful approach to pipeline building — you find angles others miss

7. CRM discipline and experience with pipeline management (HubSpot preferred)

8. A genuine connection to the mission — sustainability, origin trade, or the coffee industry is a meaningful plus.

Location: Nairobi, Kenya.

Salary Range: Monthly Retainer - USD 1,000 – 1,550 with attractive commission package

Responsibilities
1. Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and closing

2. Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through both inbound lead management and proactive outbound prospecting

3. Develop account plans and consistently achieve sales and revenue targets

4. Engage and influence stakeholders across procurement, sustainability, operations, marketing, and executive leadership functions

5. Deliver compelling commercial presentations tailored to customer needs and priorities

6. Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting through HubSpot

7. Collaborate closely with commercial teams across Europe, Southeast Asia, and East Africa to identify and unlock cross-regional opportunities

8. Work with operations and fulfilment teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from contract to delivery
