6G Welder

- Perform 6G welding using various techniques including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials.

- Review blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.

- Set up and operate welding equipment, including machines, torches, and accessories.

- Inspect completed welds to ensure conformity with quality standards and specifications.

- Repair and fabricate metal parts and structures, ensuring a high level of craftsmanship.

- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

- Maintain and clean welding equipment and workspace.

- Collaborate with other team members on larger fabrication projects to ensure timely completion.

- Document work performed, including material usage and project progress.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is preferred.

- Certification in 6G welding (e.g., AWS or ASME certification) is required.

- Proven experience as a welder, particularly in 6G positions.

- In-depth knowledge of welding processes, materials, and equipment.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.

- Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions.- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Skills:

- Proficient in using a variety of welding techniques and tools.

- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to welding.

- Problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.

Work Environment:

- May require working at heights, in industrial settings or on construction sites.

- Exposure to heat, noise, and fumes; PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided and must be worn.
