This role is crucial for setting up and running a fully optimized site(s), maintaining product quality and consistency with an efficient operation of machines and streamlined processes, cost efficiency, and ensuring compliance with relevant manufacturing and site standards. This position involves Leadership, Capacity planning and Implementation, Advanced Project Management and Planning skills, team management, and a commitment to innovation through lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement.
1. Existing Plant/Sites Management and New Plant Set up:
● Capacity Planning for the Company which in turn translates to the ideal Plant set up, processes, operations and efficiencies.
● Project Lead and Owner of New Site Capacity Plan, Capex required, Floor Set up, Procuring the ideal space, securing all regulatory approvals and fully implementing a concurrent transition into the New Manufacturing Site(s) while at the same time running the existing manufacturing site.
● Ensure seamless execution of production plans and ensure Zero OOS currently and during the transition period.
● Efficiently procure and execute necessary equipment to meet demand.
● Assess manufacturing processes for cost-effectiveness and feasibility.
● Oversee and optimize current plant capacity build, floor plans, machine and site upgrades and expansions in line with Company Ambition.
2. Plant Operations Lead
● Ensure the success of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process by ensuring all lines and machines are running efficiently to deliver and produce above demand plan.
● Own and lead implementation of the CAPEX plan in existing site and concurrently set up new manufacturing site(s).
● Review and adjust capacity plans in alignment with demand by keeping ahead of the liquid and filling capacity in the strategic cycle.
● Ensure the success of various work streams and initiatives requiring Plant Operations support including but not limited to Kraftroom(s), Lighthouses, Quality management systems, COGS improvements, Innovations and Renovations projects.
● Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the Site Operation
● Execute innovation and renovation projects and bring them to life on time and in full on the Manufacturing Site and New sites.
3. Policy Development and Compliance:
● Create and implement Site plan, New Site plan vision, policies, and procedures.
● Provide Leadership to the Engineering function by crafting the correct SOPs, Process flows and ensure best manufacturing practices are in place.
● Mitigate regulatory risks and ensure adherence to Manufacturing and Quality standards set by all regulatory agencies.
● Contribute to Operations and Production strategic initiatives and work with COO in crafting the budgets to aid in proper planning.
● Develop and innovate with best practice plant operations practices and engineering processes.
4. Engineering Team Management:
● Structure and mentor the site/ plant engineering team including the technical operators.
● Set team KPIs and conduct performance appraisals.
● Handle people matters and collaborate with People function to ensure we have in place a highly motivated and high-performing team.
● Leader in modeling, championing and communicating the Company vision, mission and values within the team.
● Identify training gaps and lead in inhouse and where applicable best practice training of the team. - Champion a growth and curiosity mindset in the Operations and Production team.
● Oversee daily workflow, schedules, and performance evaluations
● Foster collaboration within the team and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
5. BI & Reporting:
● Provide and present relevant reports for decision-making.
● Ensure timely reporting to the team and leadership.
