Artisan Grade [3]

Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve carrying out improvement works in a specific area of specialization; Undertaking repair works and maintenance of hospital facilities equipment; Conducting general fitting; preparing a repair and maintenance schedule; maintaining the workshop and stores; Undertaking simple construction works; Making sketches and estimates for simple structures; Modifying works; and preparing progress reports

For appointment to this level, a candidate must have: -

• The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D+ (Plus) or its equivalent qualification;
  
• National Trade Test III Certificate in any of the following areas of specialization: Carpentry and Joinery, Turning and Fitting, Plumbing, Welding and Fabricating or Electrical or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution; and
  

• Proficiency in Computer Applications
