Assistant Cook

Experience and Competencies required:

• Minimum education: High school Certificate with a minimum of C grade
  
• Culinary training is an added advantage and certificate in food production or hospitality
  
• Experience: working in a busy kitchen with a minimum of 5 years work experience
  
• Basic understanding of food preparation and techniques
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  
• Dependable and punctual
  
• Team player with willingness to learn
  

• Assist the cook in food preparations and cooking
  
• Support the cook and head cook in meal service
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organizing of the kitchen and food storage areas
  
• Assist in receiving and storing food items and catering equipment's
  
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines
  
• Able to run the food station when the cook is away
  
• Able to prepare meals and serve with minimal supervision
