Automotive Mechanics

The following vacancies have arisen within our Fleet Section in the Engineering Department;

• Two Automotive Mechanics
  

• One Auto Electrician Mechanic
  

We are seeking to recruit a suitable individual to fill the position at Grade 3 in our staff structure.

The Job

Reporting to the garage supervisor and working together with other mechanics, the job holder will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of vehicles and equipment to the desired standard while observing and promoting health and safety procedures at the workplace.

Minimum Requirements

• For an automotive mechanic- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, automotive option, or an equivalent
  

• For an Auto electrician- Craft certificate level or equivalent, with demonstrated practical skills in the job
  

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles
  

• Experience in handling Generators and heavy plant machinery is an added advantage
  

• Multi-skilled candidates, e.g, in computer applications, will have an added advantage
  

• Good organizing and planning skills
  

• Creative and innovative individual
  

• Must be a team player who can work with minimal supervision
  

• Carry out diagnosis, service, and maintenance on the assigned vehicles, machines, and equipment.
  

• Attend to all field breakdowns and recoveries in time.
  

• To perform any other technical-related duties as assigned by management.

• Keep records of the equipment and maintenance as required by management.
  

• Inspect and maintain equipment for proper functioning to ensure health and safety compliance.
  

• Adhere to the recommended Engineering standards in service and maintenance work.
