Description
To strengthen UNICEF’s data systems and analytical capacity and supporting engagement with and assistance to KNBS during ongoing survey analysis and reporting, consolidating child-related indicators into a centralized and well-structured repository, developing automated, user-friendly dashboards and consolidating key situation analysis for children, to improve access to data and evidence for both internal and external stakeholders.
Education:
- Masters degree in Statistics, Data Science, Social Sciences, Computer Science, or other relevant fields.
Work Experience
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in data management and analytics, including digital data systems development.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data repositories, preferably using SharePoint lists, Microsoft Dataverse, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting national statistical offices or government agencies (e.g., KNBS) in data analysis, report writing, or survey processes, particularly large-scale household surveys (e.g., Demographic Health Surveys, Household Budget Surveys).
- Experience in evidence synthesis, analytical writing, with ability to review and improve analytical tables, draft narrative sections, and contribute to reports and evidence products such as the SitAn
- Experience working with child-related indicators, multidimensional poverty, demographic data, or social statistics is an added advantage.
Skills
- Proficiency in Power BI/Tableau dashboard development, including data modelling, interactive visualizations, and automation workflows.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality assurance, metadata standards, and interoperability.
