NEST360 Alliance is an international partnership of clinical, biomedical and public health experts from 23 leading institutions, governments and organisations working together to reduce preventable newborn deaths across Africa.
Lead a movement to end preventable newborn deaths.
Through innovative newborn technologies, workforce training and data-driven quality improvement, NEST360 is strengthening health systems in Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Malawi and Ethiopia. As the organisation establishes its Africa-based headquarters in Nairobi, we are seeking an exceptional Executive Director to lead the next phase of growth and impact.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Global Fiduciary Board, the Executive Director will provide strategic leadership for the Alliance, ensuring strong governance, sustainable growth and operational excellence.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished executive to lead a high-profile international organisation, working alongside governments, donors, academic institutions and global partners to improve newborn survival across Africa.
The Executive Director will translate NEST360's vision into measurable impact while positioning the organisation as a trusted, Africa-led leader in neonatal health.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
Lead and implement NEST360's strategic vision across multiple African countries.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with governments, donors, alliance partners and global stakeholders.
Drive fundraising and resource mobilisation to secure long-term financial sustainability.
Ensure strong governance, accountability and effective organisational leadership.
Lead and develop a high-performing senior leadership team.
Represent NEST360 internationally, strengthening its influence and reputation.
Guide the organisation through continued growth, expansion and long-term impact.
About You
You are an experienced executive with a proven track record of leading complex international organisations or programmes.
You will bring:
At least 15 years' senior leadership experience within international development, NGOs, public health or related sectors.
Experience working across and engaging effectively with governments and Ministries of Health.
Strong fundraising and donor engagement experience.
