The Operations Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the administrative functions and optimizing operational processes to ensure efficient and smooth business operations.

You will be responsible for managing various aspects of the business, including office administration, logistics, supply chain management, inventory control, and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills, coupled with a solid background in the furniture industry or related manufacturing sectors.


Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the administrative functions and optimizing operational processes to ensure efficient and smooth business operations.

You will be responsible for managing various aspects of the business, including office administration, logistics, supply chain management, inventory control, and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills, coupled with a solid background in the furniture industry or related manufacturing sectors.


  • Manage production, logistics and distribution operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.

  • Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and showrooms communicating with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of items.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials and finished products.

  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as required to ensure efficiency and reduce wastage.

  • Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.

  • Put in control measures to reduce on stock damages and find ways of handling dead stock ensuring no losses.

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards in manufacturing and product delivery.

  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

  • Continuously assess and improve operational processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures across various departments.

  • Collaborate with the finance department to create and manage budgets for administrative and operational activities.

  • Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators, operational metrics, and cost analyses.

  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.

  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors, negotiate contracts, and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and service providers.

  • Monitor vendor performance, quality of goods, and adherence to delivery schedules.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to maximize team performance and job satisfaction.

  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience of at least 3 to 5 years as an Operations Manager in the furniture industry or related manufacturing sectors.

  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.

  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control in the furniture industry.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the manufacturing environment.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for operations and administration management.
