Flutter & Frontend Developer

Position Summary

This is a mobile and frontend-first engineering role. Backend work is limited and supportive — you'll occasionally touch PHP/Laravel to integrate APIs or unblock frontend features, but the core of the role is Flutter and frontend development.

Key Responsibilities

Feature development & product delivery

• Build and ship user-facing mobile and web features with a strong emphasis on Flutter (mobile & web) and frontend UI.
  
• Implement features from spec to production with a focus on UX quality, responsiveness, and performance.
  
• Work closely with Product and Design to turn requirements into high-quality interfaces.
  

API, integrations & data work

• Integrate frontend and mobile apps with backend services via RESTful APIs.
  
• Build against existing APIs powering campaigns, storefronts, wallets, livestreams, and dashboards.
  
• Integrate third-party services (payments, messaging, analytics, ecommerce) primarily on the client side.
  

Platform stability, performance & security

• Monitor, profile, and optimise frontend and mobile performance. Ensure secure handling of authentication, authorisation, and sensitive user data client-side. Work with backend teams to debug and resolve production issues.
  

DevOps & CI/CD

• Collaborate with backend and DevOps on CI/CD pipelines for frontend and Flutter apps. Support reliable releases and environment consistency.
  
• Code quality & teamwork: Write clean, maintainable frontend/mobile code. Participate actively in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years building mobile and/or frontend applications in production.
  
• Strong, hands-on Flutter experience with shipped production apps (Flutter web a plus).
  
• Strong JavaScript experience with Vue.js or React.
  
• Solid UI/UX, responsive design, and performance optimisation skills.
  
• Experience integrating with backend APIs.
  
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows.
  
• Bonus: experience in fintech, payments, marketplace platforms; exposure to Docker and CI/CD.
