• Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 56,000- Kshs. 99,500 p.m.
  
• House allowance: Kshs. 15,000
  
• Commuter allowance: Kshs. 14,000
  
• Leave allowance: Kshs. 6,000 (Annually)

• Reporting to: Senior ICT Officer
  

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities entail

• Installing, configuring, operating and maintaining computer hardware and software systems and related Information Communication Technology infrastructure at the Academy;
  
• Writing and testing computer programmes according to instructions and specifications;
  
• Providing user support, and training users;
  
• Implementing computer systems;
  
• Performing technical, systems and user documentation tasks;
  
• Investigating and analyzing feasibility of system requirements at the academy;
  
• Developing system specifications;
  
• Undertaking day-to-day management of the information technology platforms;
  
• Providing specifications for procurement of ICT equipment;
  
• Ensuring effective and efficient use of ICT resources;
  
• Ensuring security of information and network; and
  
• Implementing strategic ICT Plans.
  

Required Qualification

For appointment to this grade, a staff must have: -

• Experience of at least 3 years at the grade of Assistant Information Communication Officer II or in a comparable position;
  
• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields:- Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Business Information Technology; Information Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  
• Professional Certification in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
