Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Computer Engineering/ Business IT/Software Engineering/ICT project management.
  
• 3 years relevant experience.
  
• Membership with the computer society of kenya.
  
• Valid certificate of good conduct.
  

Method of Application

• LMS and academic management - Execute daily Mzizi tasks for exams, attendance, and student records.
  
• Troubleshoot system issues and escalate unresolved technical problems to the HOD ICT Support.
  
• Access and security - Manage user accounts following the principle of least privilege and maintain activity logs.
  
• Monitor systems for alerts and conduct regular security scans to ensure data protection.
  
• Technical and parent support - Resolve tier 1 hardware and software queries for staff and learners.
  
• Provide remote assistance to parents after verifying identities to ensure secure portal and app access.
  
• Infrastructure and network - Perform daily checks on network uptime and security logs while applying firewall updates.
  
• Repair hardware and escalate bandwidth concerns when utilization exceeds 70 percent.
  
• Asset and lifecycle management - Maintain an updated ICT asset register through tagging and regular physical audits.
  
• Test software patches in staging and monitor service provider performance against SLAS.
  
• Financial and resource control - Track departmental expenses against the budget and report any variances.
  
• Optimize resource usage and recommend measures to reduce ICT-related costs.
  
• Reporting and compliance - Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory, incidents, and system utilization.
