Insurance Officer II (2 Positions) - REF: VA/3/12/2025

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Participate in implementing strategies, policies and standards pertaining to insurance services
   

2. Hold meetings with Brokers on public liability/third party policies to ensure quick claims settlement
   

3. Co-ordinate defense instructions, court hearing and appearance on insurance cases in liaison with legal department
   

4. Co-ordinate litigation on public liability /third party insurance related claims
   

5. Process settlement of insurance claims in accordance with existing policies and procedures
   

6. Prepare reports on public liability policies
   

7. Scrutinize insurance policy documents and contracts and advising accordingly
   

8. Participate in insurance awareness workshops in liaison with relevant stakeholders
   

9. Participate in evaluation of insurance tenders as necessary
   

10. Verify, process renewal premiums and manage the register of logbooks
    

11. Facilitate dispatch of motor certificates to concerned parties in time.
    

12. Prepare departmental budget
    

13. Evaluate and process invoices of payments
    

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field from a recognized Institution
   

2. Diploma in Insurance
   

3. Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute or Insurance Institute of Kenya
   

4. Five (5) years relevant work experience in related field
   

5. Excellent planning, presentation, evaluation skills
