Qualifications and Experience
- Master of Medicine (MMed) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or equivalent specialist qualification from a recognized university
- Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) with a valid practicing license
Evidence of at least two publications in refereed scholarly journals
OR One refereed journal publication and one scholarly book chapter
- Demonstrated potential for academic research and postgraduate training
- Evidence of continuous professional development, including:
- Participation in academic conferences
- Research presentations
- Clinical teaching activities
- Academic workshops
- Participation in academic conferences
- Demonstrated commitment to pursuing a PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate medical students
- Participate in clinical teaching and supervision of trainees
- Conduct research and publish scholarly work
- Participate in curriculum development and academic activities
- Provide clinical services in affiliated teaching hospitals
- Participate in departmental academic programs and professional development activities
