Qualifications and experience

a) Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or Analytical Chemistry.

A PhD in a relevant field is an added advantage.

b) Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree or equivalent.

c) Registered and with a current practice license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).

d) At least two (2) years of academic or research experience at an institution of higher learning

or research institution.

e) Current member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya


Responsibilities

a. Delivering lectures and facilitating practical training for B.Pharm and postgraduate students

in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry.

b. Mentoring students and supervising research projects within the department.

c. Examining and assessing students’ academic progress as per university policy.

d. Developing and reviewing curriculum to align with the University, Commission of University

Education, and Pharmacy and Poisons Board standards.

e. Engaging in continuous research and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals.

f. Coordinating academic programs and departmental operations as assigned by the Chairman
