Logistics / Supply Chain Intern

Our client is a full-service freight-forwarding and logistics provider handling sea, air and land transport, customs clearance, warehousing and cargo movement across the East African region. This internship offers practical, on-the-job exposure to end-to-end logistics operations

Qualifications

1. Final-year student (degree or diploma) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transport

2. Management, Business or related field.

3. Good written and verbal communication skills.

4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under supervision.

5. Basic Excel skills (tables, filters, simple formulas).

6. Proactive attitude, reliable, and eager to learn.

7. Legal right to intern/work in Kenya.

Internship details & perks

Duration: 3–6 months (flexible, depending on academic requirements).

Reporting to: Operations Manager / Head of Logistics.

Certificate of completion and practical reference on satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support daily operations for imports/exports: booking, documentation and shipment tracking.

2. Assist with customs clearance paperwork and liaise with clearing agents.

3. Help manage warehouse tasks (receipts, stock checks, cross-docking, basic inventory records).

4. Maintain and update shipment databases and Excel logs; prepare routine reports.

5. Coordinate with carriers, port/airport agents and internal teams to follow up on consignments.

6. Participate in route planning, cost comparisons and basic freight costing exercises.

7.Support continuous-improvement tasks and small projects assigned by the Operations Manager.
