Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, Public Relations, or a related field preferred. A college graduate with a four-year degree preferred
  • Relevant certifications in digital marketing, analytics, social media marketing, content marketing, or communications as an added advantage.

Experience

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or brand management.
  • Experience with SEO, PPC, analytics, content creation, and campaign management is a must
  • Experience with WordPress is a huge plus
  • Design skills with tools such as Canva and Adobe and After Effects is necessary
  • Punctual, professional, thorough, and entrepreneurial
  • A quick learning self-starter that works well in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Highly organized and efficient, with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively when everything is happening at once
  • Collaborative and engaging, likes to work in a team, but also independent and gets the job done, no matter what is required
  • Adaptable and innovative, owning mistakes and moving on


Responsibilities

Advertising & Marketing

  • Support the development & timely implementation of annual and quarterly marketing campaigns.
  • Create and manage monthly content calendars across social media, website, campaigns, newsletters, and community communication.
  • Manage Ikigai’s social media platforms (content creation and scheduling), and social media inquiries.
  • Support maintenance of paid media by keeping the back end running smoothly and ensuring content is up to date.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and provide insights on performance trends.
  • Update website content to reflect product, pricing, membership, and operational updates.

External Communications / Visibility

  • Support development and updating of collateral including decks, brochures, one-pagers, promotional materials, and any other partnerships and business development materials.
  • Support development of signage and in-location visual communication materials.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and written communication across all member-facing channels (for events, operational updates, community-building initiatives, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Events and Community teams to ensure smooth communication flows around events.
  • Coordinate with external vendors including photographers, videographers, designers, printers, and creative suppliers.

Internal Ikigai Communications

  • Support preparation of presentations and internal communication materials and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure alignment of messaging across teams.
  • Support job posting communication and distribution.
  • Support onboarding and orientation of new team members into brand and communication systems.
  • Support with internal team branding such as email signatures, team photos, and P&C welcome cards.
  • Support GDPR-related communication coordination within the marketing department
  • Manage and maintain the Ikigai photo and video content bank

Reporting & Strategy

  • Support implementation and coordination of internal and external market research initiatives.
  • Track marketing lead generation and campaign conversion metrics.
  • Produce monthly marketing reports with performance insights and KPIs.
  • Support reporting preparation for weekly, monthly, and quarterly review meetings.
  • Collect member feedback. Conduct market research and synthesize findings for better strategy & decision-making.
  • Support the Marketing team in the execution of marketing strategy.
