Description
Requirements for Appointment:
- Have Ordinary Diploma Certificate in Medical Engineering from a recognized institution, OR
- Have successfully completed an ordinary Diploma course in Electrical, Electronics or Medical Engineering from a recognized institution and also be ready to undertake a one year work experience in Medical Engineering or Health Technology related field.
- Undertaking preventive maintenance and repairs of medical/hospital equipment, plants, furniture and instruments;
- Carrying out minor repairs of health facilities and utilities;
- Ordering for spare parts and consumables;
- Taking/maintaining inventory of medical/hospital equipment, furniture and plants;
- Collating and compiling information for research;
- Equipment fault diagnosis and basic repair and maintenance;
- Appreciating the principle of operation of the standard equipment in most health institutions.
