Description
- A valid driver's license.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; additional training in office administration or a related field is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in English at an intermediate level (reading, writing and speaking) and fluency in Swahili**
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a government office, diplomatic mission, busy research organization or the private sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
- Excellent knowledge of Nairobi’s road network and familiarity with driving across Kenya.
As the Office Assistant and Driver, you will be joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion and equity while being responsible for:
- Contributing to the day-to-day reception and administrative activities of the Regional Office.
- Supporting logistical coordination and hospitality for official visits, events, and office operations.
- Managing courier and delivery tasks, including handling incoming and outgoing mail, parcels, and official documents.
- Handling driving responsibilities, including the safe transportation of staff and guests, as well as the maintenance of IDRC vehicles.
