Description
We are urgently seeking a highly capable Planning Officer to join our team. This role will support the Group Planning Manager in coordinating planning activities across the supply chain, with a focus on the medical, health, and pharmaceutical sectors. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of planning systems, and experience in the end-to-end product life cycle.
Minimum requirements: Qualifications:
Professional certification or a degree/Higher Diploma in Planning, Management, Supply Chain,
or a related field.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
Proficient in computer applications and performance tracking/report generation.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, leadership, and problem-solving
skills.
Highly self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar planning role.
Solid knowledge of the product life cycle—from idea generation to marketing launch.
Strong understanding of the procure-to-pay process and warehouse operations for Raw
Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM), and Finished Goods (FG).
Demonstrated understanding of how supply chain operations affect the Profit & Loss
(P&L) statement.
Experience with integrated resource planning systems; SAP proficiency is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Document all decisions and discussions from Sales & Operations Planning
(S&OP) meetings and ensure timely distribution to all stakeholders.
Prepare timely and accurate re-orders for all RM, PM, and FG items—both local and
imported.
Generate and share Priority List summaries using SAP with relevant departments.
Develop and share monthly production plans with manufacturing teams.
Prepare weekly production schedules in alignment with material availability,
optimizing labor utilization and minimizing waste.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supply chain planning documents (e.g., narcotics, sugar, neutral spirit).
Ensure timely communication of material requirements to procurement teams to avoid delays.
Monitor daily inventory levels and proactively flag potential stock gaps related to purchasing, logistics, or production delays.
Share production schedules and plans with manufacturing teams in a timely and efficient manner.
Generate and distribute regular reports on inventory status and forecast accuracy.
Promote and support the implementation of safety practices in line with company
guidelines.
