Principal Internet Banking Officer

RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULT AREAS

1. Install, configure and upgrade Digital Channels application environments whenever required.
   

2. Perform Digital Channels application tuning and performance monitoring.
   

3. Evaluate new Digital Channels features, payment gateways (SWIFT, RTGS, MPESA e.t.c.) and related products.
   

4. Oversee all development and integrations aspects between Digital Channels, Enterprise Service Bus, and 3rd Party Systems.
   

5. Implement and maintain Digital Channels application security and administration.
   

6. Interface with Temenos Corporation for technical support.
   

7. Coordinate extraction of Business/MIS reports and ensure distribution to relevant 3rd party systems such as Data Warehouse in addition to availing the same to respective business units.
   

8. To ensure that all system changes are fully documented and to maintain the documentation to a professional level.
   

9. Any other roles and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
   

   
   

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or related field.
   

2. Any Digital Channels Training Done touching on the below areas will be an added advantage.
   

• Internet Banking
  

• Core Banking Platforms.
  

• Payment Systems.
  

• Artificial Intelligence
  

YEARS AND NATURE OF EXPERIENCE

1. At least six (6) years’ work experience, preferably within the financial sector, with predominant experience in Digital Channels, Payment Systems, Product Development and Service Excellence.
   

2. Experience in managing change in relation to systems, processes, workflows and resources is an added advantage.
   

3. Sound knowledge of the Banking Act and the Regulatory Framework in the Financial Services Industry.
   

4. Good understanding of;
   

5. Redhat – OpenShift Containerization, Kubernetes.
   

6. SWIFT/RTGS Payment Systems Competencies.
   

7. Microservices & Web Services.
