Qualifications and Experience
a. Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Information Technology/ICT, or a related field from a
recognized institution.
b. A Certificate in Sound Engineering will be an added advantage.
c. At least two (2) years’ relevant experience in the operation and maintenance of public
address or audio-visual systems.
d. Demonstrated knowledge of sound systems, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, and audio-
visual equipment.
e. Good technical troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
f. Ability to work under pressure and provide support during University events when required.
Responsibilities
a) Install, operate, and manage public address and sound systems in lecture halls, conference
rooms, and other University venues.
b) Set up and operate microphones, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, and related audio equipment
during lectures, meetings, seminars, and official University functions.
c) Provide technical support for audiovisual equipment, including projectors, conferencing
systems, and hybrid meeting technologies.
d) Conduct routine inspection, servicing, and maintenance of public address and audio
equipment.
e) Troubleshoot and resolve faults in audio systems and related equipment.
f) Liaise with departments and event organizers to facilitate sound and audiovisual
requirements during University events.
g) Maintain an inventory of public address and audio equipment and ensure proper storage and
handling.
h) Ensure safe installation and operation of sound and audio-visual systems in accordance with
University safety standards.
i) Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
