Sales Executive – Wood Industry (preferably Somali background) - MOMBASA

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Executive to join our team in Mombasa. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling wood products and furniture with a strong focus on housing and construction projects. The role requires a proactive individual who understands the wood/furniture industry, has excellent customer relationship skills, and can drive sales growth in the region.

Requirements

• Kenyan national, based in Mombasa only (applications from outside Mombasa will not be considered).
  
• Preferably of Somali background with strong community and business networks in the region.
  
• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in sales within the wood, furniture, construction, or building materials industry.
  
• Strong negotiation, networking, and client relationship management skills.
  
• Good knowledge of the local construction market, contractors, real estate developers, and project managers.
  
• Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Proficiency in basic MS Office and reporting tools
  

• Identify, prospect, and develop new clients within housing, real estate, and construction projects.
  
• Promote and sell the company’s range of wood products and furniture solutions.
  
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  
• Conduct regular market visits to identify business opportunities and competitors’ activities.
  
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with customers to close sales deals.
  
• Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to management.
  
• Work closely with the operations and logistics team to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
