Senior Business Analyst, Core Banking

Support the process of automating business processes with bias to eliminating paperwork, repetitive non-value addition steps in current process flow by coordinating with business users and understanding the impact of their operations.

Translate solution requirements to the technical team and monitor the development and implementation and roll-out of the system.

Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.

Liaise with Business Champions in reviewing business processes and developing optimization strategies to deliver better value to the users.

Evaluate new features and related products.

Oversee all development and integrations aspects between Core Banking Systems and 3rd Party Systems:

Support business engagement with regards to Core Banking Systems.

Support business requirement documentation, analysis, planning and implementation.

Working as part of the IT team to ensure that IT is deployed efficiently within the business and in line with the organisation’s IT Strategy.

Identify suitable new and emerging technologies, develop business cases & coordinate proof of concepts.

Interface with Core Banking/Infinity/Financial Market Systems vendors for technical support.

Coordinate extraction of Business/MIS reports and ensure distribution to relevant 3rd party systems such as Data Warehouse in addition to availing the same to respective business units.

Ensure that all system changes are fully documented and maintain the documentation to a professional level.

Liaise with change management team and business sponsors in keeping up to date Core Banking systems software versions by scheduling upgrades, patch release implementation and software development into the production environment.

Any other assigned roles and responsibilities.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Any Core Banking Training Done touching on the below areas will be an added advantage.

At least five (5) years’ experience in a T24/Infinity/Financial Systems production support environment as an administrator/consultant.

At least 5 years’ experience in UNIX System Administration specific to IBM AIX.

At least 3 years’ experience in IBM WMQ, IBM Websphere Administration.

At least 3 years’ experience in Oracle Database Administration.
