Description
Building strong relationships with IT and Business customers to understand their needs/requirements and help set strategic direction.
Establishing, implementing and governing IT Project Management standards and metrics that enable consistent, successful project delivery.
Coordinate formulation, implementation of ITD Roadmap and Strategy in support of current and future business needs of the Bank.
Consolidation and regular reporting of the IT Strategic Plan, in close liaison with the Head of the function.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects from initiation to closure.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Ensure resource availability and allocation for ongoing projects.
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and control implementation progress.
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
Report and escalate project issues to management as needed.
Coordinate performance of risk management to minimize project risks.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Coordinate quality assurance tests and ensure the Audit team is engaged by their direct reports for on-going projects.
Oversee training of new staff in the division on work procedures and policies to ensure effective onboarding.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Certification in IT Program and Project Management frameworks such as MSP, Prince II, PMBOK or equivalent.
At least ten (10) years IT Project Management experience, in an environment of similar scale and complexity with at least three (3) years in a senior leadership/management role within central banking, financial services, government, telecommunications or regulatory institutions.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Advanced Stakeholder management expertise.
Strong project management, processes and technical knowledge.
Strong knowledge of industry-standard methodologies and IT delivery approaches such as the Agile methodology.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and multiple employees simultaneously.
Proven work experience in IT project management, strategy formulation and budgeting.
Advanced understanding and knowledge of IT Project Management, Strategic Planning, and Budgeting process.
Strong people management skills, conflict management & resolution and negotiations skills.
Hands-on/proven experience in a similar role in IT Project Portfolio Management coupled with a strong knowledge of project management methodologies and standards.
