Required Qualifications for the Position

▪ Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery

▪ Masters of Medicine in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (MMED)

▪ Registered with KMPDC

▪ ECOG, EmONC, ALSO

▪ Attending to antenatal mothers, reviewing reports and conducting safe deliveries.

▪ Undertaking clinical procedures and examinations

▪ Carrying out ward rounds with Senior Consultants

▪ Consulting on cases that the Senior House Officers may require guidance

▪ Overseeing the running of the department

▪ Assisting management in drawing up and implementation of policies and procedures for the department

▪ Advising and guiding management on procurement of equipment and supplies for the department

▪ Coaching and mentoring of Senior House Officers

▪ Supervising Senior House Officers and Elective Students

▪ Ensuring that Hospital policies and administrative regulations are well-known and understood by staff

▪ Liaising with HR & Talent Development to ensure proper staffing levels at all times

▪ Conducting CPD activities to ensure high standards of competency and efficiency in the department at

all times

▪ Ensuring that patients are given utmost attention and care at all times

▪ Making follow-up on complaints and any concerns raised by patients

▪ Conducting surgeries; elective or emergencies.
