The organization partners with globally recognized technology vendors to design, implement, optimize, and support enterprise ICT environments for financial institutions, SACCOs, insurance companies, government agencies, healthcare providers, telecommunications companies, educational institutions, and large enterprises.

As part of its continued growth, our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems & Network Engineer to join its engineering team and lead the delivery of enterprise infrastructure projects and managed services engagements.

Your Role

The successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise infrastructure solutions while providing technical leadership across customer projects and managed services engagements.

The role will also work closely with the Business Development team during customer engagements, solution design, and technical pre-sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, migration, and optimization of enterprise ICT infrastructure solutions.
  

• Manage enterprise servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, networking environments, cloud platforms, and operating systems.
  

• Oversee infrastructure deployments, upgrades, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
  

• Deliver managed infrastructure services while ensuring high availability, reliability, and compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  

• Manage incident resolution, change management, patching, backup operations, disaster recovery, and security processes.
  

• Conduct infrastructure assessments, technical audits, and customer requirements gathering.
  

• Design enterprise solutions and prepare technical proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and tender responses.
  

• Support pre-sales activities through technical presentations, solution demonstrations, workshops, and customer engagements.
  

• Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers, promoting best practices, and leading project handovers and knowledge transfer sessions.
  

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, ensuring successful project delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  

• Minimum of 5–7 years experience implementing and supporting enterprise ICT infrastructure solutions.
  

• Proven experience working within a Systems Integrator, Managed Service Provider (MSP), ISP, or enterprise ICT environment.
  

• Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise infrastructure projects.
  

• Experience supporting financial institutions or other highly regulated industries will be an added advantage.
  

• Strong communication, presentation, documentation, and reporting skills.
  

• Willingness to travel across East and West Africa when required.
  

• Valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
