Technician – Grade Six (6)(Department of Art and Design)

• Collecting and preparing teaching materials;
• Conducting laboratory practical’s and demonstrations to undergraduates;
• Participating in research activities in the laboratory;
• Ensuring that laboratory ware including chemicals, glass and plastic ware and equipment are
kept in good order;
• Ensuring that laboratory and workshops are kept clean and tidy;
• Keeping and maintaining laboratory records;
• Receiving, processing and analyzing samples;
• Ensuring safe use and disposal of chemicals and laboratory waste; and
• General laboratory routine.
