Organizational Context and Scope

Under the direct supervision of the Regional Thematic Specialist - Climate Action (Climate RTS) at the Regional Office for East, Horn, and Southern Africa, the Senior Regional Climate Action Associate will support the Regional Thematic Unit on Climate Action, which operates with thematic guidance from the Climate Action Division in IOM Headquarters (HQ), to provide thematic expertise and resource mobilization support to Country Offices (COs); including:

• Monitor and analyze regional thematic trends
• Support regional thematic project development
• Support thematic capacity development
• Review and support project proposal endorsement processes related to Climate Action in the East, Horn, and Southern Region
