Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance or any related field
  • NYSC discharge certificate or Exemption Letter
  • Preferably, Minimum of six (6) Years' Work Experience within Edo State Civil Service while rising through the ranks
  • Professional certification, ICAN or ANAN Required.
  • Applicants must be 35 years old or younger to be considered for the job.

Key Duties

  • Manage preparation, payment of salaries and remittance of Third-Party deductions simultaneously
  • Organize and supervise the finance and accounting functions in a manner that facilitates transparency and accountability in the management of state funds
  • Ensure that actual expenditures are in line with the approved budget
  • Identify effective tax planning measures on a continuous basis
  • Assist in recording and safeguarding the assets of the Library Board
  • Ensure completeness, adequacy and integrity of financial records
  • Ensures accurate recording and appropriate treatment of accounting data, including processing of Accounts Payable, Credit & Accounts receivable, Assets, Inventory, etc.
