Job Summary

  • Our client is seeking to hire a skilled Assistant Chef to support our Head Chef in creating delicious and healthy meals for children, while accommodating various dietary needs and restrictions.
  • The Assistant Chef will be responsible for assisting with menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen operations to ensure the highest quality of food and service.

Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef with menu planning and recipe development that appeal to children while incorporating healthy and nutritious options
  • Prepare food items to the highest standard of quality, taste, and presentation
  • Accommodate various dietary needs and restrictions, such as gluten-free, vegetarian, and allergy concerns
  • Assist with training and managing kitchen staff as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
  • Oversee food preparation and plating to ensure consistency and quality
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
