Qualifications
- M.Sc. Architect, Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer
- B.Sc. Architect, Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer with minimum 2 years of experience in the built environment
Experience in construction supervision, especially:
oHealth facility construction or renovation
o Water, sanitation & hygiene systems (WASH)
o Structural integrity assessment
o Rural or community-based project
- Overall, a minimum of three years’ professional experience in the civil engineering construction field is required.
- Experience in managing PHCs construction/rehabilitation projects would have added advantages.
- Experience in community dialogue, ability to work at the community level, and ability to speak the local language
- Teamwork and negotiation skills on project development issues at the community level
- Excellent presentation skills, both in terms of written and oral communication.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily visits to assigned PHCs to monitor ongoing construction and revitalization activities.
- Ensure construction work progresses according to approved plans, quality standards, and timelines.
- Identify and promptly report any delays, issues, or deviations to the project management team.
- Maintain accurate daily records of site visits, observations, and progress updates.
- Liaise with contractors and PHC staff to address on-site concerns and report them according to the established hierarchy.
- Provide timely feedback and recommendations to the project team to improve implementation efficiency.
