Description
Strategic Human Resource Management
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and workforce requirements.
- Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and people initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement, organizational culture, and change management programs.
- Translate business priorities into effective people strategies that support sustainable growth.
Crewing & Workforce Management
- Oversee end-to-end crew planning, recruitment, deployment, and rotation schedules.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified seafarers to support uninterrupted operations.
- Ensure all crew members possess valid certifications, medical clearances, and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate crew mobilization, workforce continuity, and cadet development initiatives.
Talent Acquisition & Performance Management
- Lead recruitment activities for marine and corporate employees.
- Manage performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
- Develop succession planning initiatives to strengthen leadership capability
- Coordinate onboarding, employee development, and retention strategies.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, maritime regulations, and industry standards.
- Oversee employee records, HR reporting, HRIS administration, payroll coordination, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Monitor HR metrics and provide management reports to support informed decision-making.
- Review and improve HR policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Learning, Employee Relations & Reward
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives.
- Monitor mandatory certifications and workforce competency requirements.
- Manage employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
- Support compensation, benefits administration, salary reviews, and reward programs
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
- Build productive relationships with regulatory agencies, training institutions, and external stakeholders.
- Support community engagement initiatives and corporate social responsibility activities.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Professional HR certification such as CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or CIPD is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in marine crewing or workforce management.
- Previous experience within the Marine, Maritime, Offshore, or Oil & Gas industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of labour legislation, maritime regulations, employee relations, and performance management.
- Experience managing HR operations, talent acquisition, payroll coordination, compensation, and workforce planning.
- Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
