Lead, Utilities Economics & Tariff Setting

Minimum Requirements

1. A first degree in Social Sciences, Engineering, or any relevant field.
   
2. A relevant postgraduate degree will be an added advantage.
   
3. Membership of relevant professional bodies.
   
4. At least 10 years’ experience in a regulatory function with at least 5 years in a supervisory position within the Utilities industry or a closely related industry with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
   

1. Assists in developing policies, strategies, and plans for the Function to ensure full regulatory compliance.
   
2. Works closely with relevant internal officers to review and advise on the issued Monthly Market Settlements
   
3. Monitoring the process of energy pricing and tariff rates
   
4. Participates in regulatory agency meetings and public meetings/hearings that pertain to electricity markets.
   
5. Prepares an internal report about electricity market trends for IBEDC management.
   
6. Assist in developing long-term rate strategy and plans to prevent earnings erosion.
   
7. Liaises constantly with relevant Functions about revenue assurance.
   
8. Performs other sundry assignments as directed by the Head, Regulatory.
