Fleet Management:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet management strategy including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Ensure all company vehicles are properly maintained, serviced and compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor fleet performance, including fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and overall efficiency.
  • Optimize vehicle routing and scheduling to reduce fuel-related activities.

Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Oversee the transportation and distribution of goods and materials from suppliers to warehouse or production or Customers.
  • Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain adequate stock levels and avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
  • Implement strategies to improve logistics efficiency, such as selecting cost-effective transportation models and optimizing freight forwarding.
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to ensure seamless operations and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Resolve any logistics-related issues, including shipping delays, customs clearance, and freight damages.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Develop and manage budgets for fleet operations and logistics activities.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce expenses while maintaining service quality.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fleet and logistics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with all local state, and federal regulations governing fleet operations and transportation.
  • Implement safety programs and guidelines to minimize accidents and promote a safe working environment for drivers and other staff.
  • Conduct regular and monthly vehicle inspection to assess adherence to safety standards, maintenance, repairs and address any issues promptly.
