- First Degree in relevant Environmental Sciences e.g. (Microbiology / Botany /Zoology, Environmental Engineering, Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of E&P work experience in an Environment position.
- Relevant international Environmnetal Certification e.g. ISO 4001, NEBOSH environmental management etc Experience in implementation of EMS.
Required Skills:
- Mastery level in Environmental Systems
- Awareness level in HSE Policy and Strategies, Technical Safety Engineering and Incident Investigation and analysis is an advantage.
- Interpersonal relationship with excellent networking ability
- Data management and analytical skills.

- Prepare environmental studies SOW/TOR/SOR and process regulatory registration & approval
- Conduct professional/technical review of environmental reports (EIA, EES, EBS OSC, ECM) etc
- Prepare procurement requests and support contracting process for environmental studies
- Participate in and supervise environmental studies field data gathering and lab analysis witnessing
- Support in developing and implementing Environmental plans/policies and monitor compliance
- Support the deployment of a robust ISO compliant Environmental Management System that is to assure stakeholders, regulators, and investors on Seplat’s environmental management practices.
- Conduct effective Risk Assessment management in the planning and execution of environment program to ensure proper mitigation of identified risks
- Collaborate with asset HSE, Ops and Community Affairs team members in the deployment and monitoring of environmental and sustainable development plans in the asset teams and projects
- Give professional advice to line dept in ensuring that environmental management & controls are consistent with set standards and policies.
- Participate in Incident Investigation & Review Panels and ensure lateral applications of key learnings/corrective actions
- Focal point on Environmental Statistics & Data Management for Corporate Environment team responsible for HSE Performance & Information Management with interface to facility team
- Maintain Audit log and follow up on closure of audit items and Environmental Issues
- Produce weekly report of Safety and/or environment activities in word/excel/PPT with analysis charts reports from review and analysis of ECM report (s) and produce ECM performance reports (word/excel/ppt) with charts
