Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a reputable institution.
- A master’s degree (MBA or M.Sc. in finance related degrees) is an added advantage.
- Recognized professional financial certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CFA)
- A minimum of 7-9 years of relevant experience in project finance, structured finance, corporate/infrastructure finance, or transaction advisory.
- Proven experience in structuring and executing complex financing transactions, particularly in infrastructure, energy, or large-scale projects.
Responsibilities
Origination and Execution of deals
- Originate and lead the execution of project finance and structured finance transactions across priority sectors.
- Structure financing solutions including syndicated loans, structured credit facilities, mezzanine financing, project bonds, and hybrid instruments.
- Develop and review complex financial models to evaluate project feasibility, cash flows, debt capacity, and returns.
- Conduct project feasibility and financial viability assessments for infrastructure and large-scale capital projects.
- Lead transaction processes including term sheet negotiation, due diligence coordination, financing & security documentation, and financial close.
- Prepare and review investment memoranda, credit papers, transaction presentations, and advisory reports.
- Manage relationships with commercial banks, DFIs, institutional investors, sponsors, government agencies, and regulators.
- Coordinate internal teams including legal, risk management, credit, and compliance to ensure seamless transaction execution.
- Monitor project performance and compliance with financing terms during implementation.
