Person Specifications

  • Master’s degree in Governance, Public Administration, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Law, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in governance, accountability, citizen engagement, institutional strengthening, or community development programming.
  • Strong understanding of governance systems, social accountability approaches, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with government institutions, civil society organisations, communities, and development partners.
  • Excellent facilitation, report writing, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High integrity, professionalism, teamwork, and ability to work independently in multicultural and multi-stakeholder environments.
Responsibilities
  • Support governance and accountability interventions by coordinating and implementing activities that strengthen transparency, citizen participation, social accountability, and responsive governance systems
  • Engage and build relationships with stakeholders by working closely with government institutions, communities, civil society, and project partners to promote inclusive participation and collaboration.
  • Provide technical support and capacity building by Supporting partner institutions and communities with technical guidance, training, and tools to improve governance practices and accountability mechanisms.
  • Monitor, report, and promote learning by tracking project progress, document results and lessons learned, and contribute to reporting, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
