Education and Work Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Policing, Law, Human Rights, Gender, International Relations, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
- At least a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in developing facilitator’s guides and training manuals.
- Experience working with the Ugandan justice system would be an asset.
- Experience training members of the justice system, particularly police officers, would be an asset.
Languages
- Outstanding written and verbal skills in English.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a desk study including a literature review on existing materials on criminal investigations, collect data, and generate relevant information for the development of resource materials or tools.
- Identify the key individuals and institutions to participate in consultations to develop resource materials or tools.
- Analyze the data and content collected from the field in accordance with the legal framework and develop a standardized Criminal Investigations manual and trainer`s guide to assist in training the Uganda Police Force and other justice system actors.
- Develop a comprehensive, standardized Criminal Investigations Training Curriculum, Manual, Trainer`s Guide, and Standard Operating Procedures to build the capacity of the Uganda Police Force and other actors in the justice system.
