Master’s degree in education, human sciences, or other relevant field or equivalent experience
At least three years of experience delivering education programmes at decentralized (district) level while representing the organisation and closely working together with local government
- Demonstrable expertise in foundational learning (both literacy and numeracy)
Strong capacity building skills of actors of the education system at district and PTC level
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
Preferred
- Expertise in Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) or UCatchUp is an asset
Knowledge of and experience with programme management, preferably project cycle management.
Experience with change management and capacity development processes in the context of educational institutions.
An in-depth understanding of national education systems and the latest developments in the education sector
Offer technical advice, guidance and support to partners and align and collaborate with internal VVOB colleagues to achieve project results and realise the educational change processes supported by the project.
Contribute to the identification, formulation, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project in order to realise educational change processes supported by the project.
Take up a variety of roles in the capacity development process of the partners according to the needs of the partner and particular situations and phases of the programme.
Keep abreast with policy trends, new developments and latest research and thinking in education and international development by external and internal networking and share new insights with partners and VVOB colleagues.
Provide detailed reports for all activities implemented at the District and School level.
