Description
As an Education Advisor, you provide technical support focusing on training of partners, Development of Teaching Learning Support Materials (TLSMs), capacity development of VVOB staff and partners, planning, implementation and monitoring of the project.
Your Expertise & Experience
Master’s degree in education, human sciences, or other relevant field or equivalent experience
Demonstrable expertise in foundational learning (both literacy and numeracy)
Strong skills in development of training content and training materials for teachers
Strong skills in developing teaching and learning support materials (TLSMs)
Fluent in English both verbal and written.
Preferred
Prior experience with Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) is an advantage.
Knowledge of and experience with programme management, preferably project cycle management.
Experience with change management and capacity development processes in the context of educational institutions.
An in-depth understanding of national education systems and the latest developments in the education sector
Offer technical advice, guidance and support to internal VVOB colleagues to achieve project results and to partners in order to realise educational change processes supported by the project.
Contribute to the identification, formulation, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project in order to realise educational change processes supported by the project.
Take up a variety of roles in the capacity development process of the partners according to the needs of the partner and particular situations and phases of the programme;
Keep abreast with policy trends, new developments and latest research and thinking in education and international development by external and internal networking and share new insights with partners and VVOB colleagues.
