Description

To support planning and delivery of British Council Uganda’s Programmes work in line with our strategic objectives. The role will serve to provide a highly motivated beginner/recent entrant to the workforce a learning experience that will help them build essential work skills in a dynamic organisational environment and cultivate a strong foundation for their professional life.

Qualifications:

  • Profeciency in English Language (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups of people
  • Resourcefulness and attention to detail
  • Ability to organise, co-ordinate, handle assigned tasks under supervision



Programme Delivery Support:

  • Support programme managers in the planning and delivery of British Council Uganda programmes across Schools, Arts, English and Higher Education.
  • Assist in the organization of events, workshops, and webinars (online and in-person in including logistics, participant coordination, and preparation of materials.)
  • Help track programme activity plans and maintain records of outputs, ensuring documents are up to date.
  • Programs event management: Support planning and implementation of program events including Equaity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives. The learning: Cultivating first hand experience in Project management

Monitoring, Evaluation, Communication and Reporting:

  • Assist with data collection from partners and beneficiaries.
  • Support preparation of reports, case studies and success stories for donors and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to documenting lessons learned from programme implementation.
  • Stakeholder and Partner Engagement:
  • Support communication with partners, consultants, and vendors.
  • Help prepare stakeholder updates, newsletters and communications.
  • Assist in preparing briefing packs for meetings with stakeholders.

Finance and Procurement Support

  • Provide support in processing procurement requests and financial documentation.
  • Maintain filing systems (digital) for programme documents and finances.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasts and budget tracking under supervision.
