Del Monte Kenya is the country’s largest Exporters of premium quality processed pineapples and fruit juice beverages Del Monte’s large scale efficiency is made possible by the most advanced technology used to grow, process and transport products. The area planted with pineapples has increased to over 15,000 acres from the original 450 in 1965. In the Thika plantation, all the pineapples are grown and harvested through a combination of manual and mechanized processes and then carefully chosen to produce the highest quality end product. The cannery processes over 1,500 tons of pineapples daily.
