Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness. Environmental Science or relevant Engineering field.
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in Agri-tech, Agricultural Inputs and related products, IoT and sustainability.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of Kenya's floriculture and horticulture value chain is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and manage multiple accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Sales & Business Development
  • Identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities within the floriculture and horticulture sectors.
  • Develop and execute sector-specific sales strategies aligned with revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline using structured sales processes and CRM tools.
  • Conduct product demos, site visits, and solution presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial offers that clearly articulate ROI and impact.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with farm owners/directors, managers, agronomists, and procurement departments.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales support to ensure smooth onboarding and high customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategy
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with farm owners/directors, managers, agronomists, and procurement departments.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales support to ensure smooth onboarding and high customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Technical Understanding
  • Sector Knowledge (Agronomy + Floriculture/Horticulture Operations)
  • Knowledge of floriculture and horticulture crop Inputs & Environmental Management
  • Knowledge of precision agriculture technologies
  • Develop a strong understanding of Interpretation & Advisory Framing
  • Develop a strong understanding of wireless sensor technologies, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Translate technical features into clear business value for decision-makers.
